Details:
Brett Iimura, the director of Childbirth Education Center (CEC), has taught continuously in Japan since 1996, including having expanded to online classes 10 years ago, way before Covid! Having taught over 2000 couples from more than 75 countries to date, she has collected data on women's experiences of birth in Japan, including the fact that women in her classes have had approximately half the rate of episiotomy as is typically seen in Japan.

Anika Ogusu is a mother of one who gave birth to her son in 2016 in Tokyo. Since he would cry whenever dispatched from his mom, she soon discovered babywearing as her lifesaver. In 2020, she became a certified babywearing consultant running a sling library (baby carrier rental) and a small shop besides her main work as a gardener.

This workshop will be about carrying a baby safely during the cold season. Anika says that you can feel free to hide or mute yourself- but if you like to actively participate, she will have a short interactive part too! At the end she will share a small handout you can print to remember. And of course, you are welcome to ask questions too.
